Darryl L. Wilson is Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for GE Energy Connections with global responsibility for sales and marketing across the portfolio, uniting the commercial organization teams to deliver the OneEM value proposition, including eBoP, a strategic offering for our customers.
Mr. Wilson’s previous role was Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Distributed Power, a global supplier of power equipment and service, with global responsibility for all Commercial activity for the business, including aero-derivative gas turbines as well as Jenbacher and Waukesha gas engines products and services. GE Distributed Power provides equipment and services to numerous industries and applications around the world.
Darryl served as President and CEO of GE Power and Water – Aero-derivative Products, for five years, a leading provider of aero-derivative gas turbine products and services for global power generation applications. His role included global P &L responsibility for Aero Products and Services, a multi-billion global business acquired by GE in 1998, that leveraged GEs’ domain expertise in Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Aviation Technology with sales, service and manufacturing locations around the world, including Houston, Texas, Cincinnati, Ohio, The Netherlands, Brazil, Budapest, Hungary and Shanghai, China.
Darryl brings 30 years of business experience to his current position – 23 years with GE in successive global business leadership roles. He served as President and CEO, GE Consumer & Industrial-Asia Pacific in Shanghai, China; Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, GE Consumer & Industrial-Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); President and CEO, GE Consumer Products – Europe, Middle East, Africa and India EMEAI); Global General Manger, GE Specialty Lighting; Global Product General Manager, GE Lighting; and Digitization Master Black Belt (MBB) – GE Lighting. Darryl is also a General Electric Company officer. He also spent seven years with British Petroleum in progressive management leadership roles and held various brand and sales development intern roles with IBM and Procter and Gamble.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Darryl and his wife and two boys reside in Houston, Texas, where he serves on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Food Bank, American Heart Association; Indiana University Kelly School of Business – Deans Council and the DREME Foundation. He is an active leader of the GE AAF affinity group and Chairs GE’s partnership with his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Darryl holds a Bachelors degree in business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio and a MBA in marketing from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
